Hussain AbdulHussain is an educator based in Houston, Texas. A lifelong artist and DIYer, he is drawn to the creativity inspired by faith traditions, and is passionate about the arts and craftsmanship of Islamic cultures and societies. He is particularly interested in the evolution of Islamic art in the 21st century, as cultures interact on a global scale and artists are introduced to new paradigms and mediums. While he presently works with mixed media, Hussain is not limited to any particular style or way of creating art, preferring to combine contemporary and traditional techniques and materials.
